Electrify ABC offers straightforward financing from trusted community lender Self-Help Credit Union. This financing package is exclusively available for Electrify Asheville-Buncombe program participants.

Our Loan Package Offers:

Significantly lower interest rates than most credit cards.
Access for borrowers with low or limited credit.
Straightforward terms—no gimmicks and no gotchas.
The Electrify ABC administrative program fee of 2.99% can be included in the loan amount, comparable to a credit card processing fee.

What the Loan Covers:

All-electric, high-efficiency heat pumps
Heat pump water heaters
Air sealing and insulation
30% of the total loan amount can be used for other construction costs associated with the project, including electrical panel upgrades, mold remediation, and carpentry.

Apply For Your Loan

Already have a contractor and a bid for your project? Fill out your loan application today and get an answer within two business days. We’ll ask for a copy of the bid as part of your application.

To Apply, You’ll Need:

Proof of Income: your most recent paystub (for W2 wage earners) OR copies of your last two tax returns (for self-employed people).
Mobile-home owners only*: A copy of your DMV registration as proof of ownership, if the home is not on a permanent foundation.
If you already have a bid from an Electrify ABC-participating contractor, you’ll also need a copy of the bid.
Your preferred Self-Help Branch Location
To sign the release form provided by Self -Help Credit Union so that your information can be shared with Electrify ABC program administrators.
